This set was actually quite a surprise. Except Bulbasaur which is rather 1/2 scale, the other plushies are close to lifesize. The fabric is a bit special, like soft when you touch in one direction and rough on the other. Anyway the sleeping poses are very cute :3

An original series whose design fits very well to Christmas time. Based on patchwork and sewing theme, they have really nice details and look like a mix of plush, cookie and candy :3
After the PC release, we can say that Vulpix was rather spoilt this year ^^

About 60 cm high
The Whimsicott's Substitute fever has started in 2013 with the launch of the small plush which quickly sold out. In 2015 they decided to make re-releases of the regular, DX and keychain versions, and went even bigger with a 60cm one. Shipping fees were as big as the plush lol
Look at his happy face, so cute :3 I'm very proud to own this big baby.

The brand new Kalos Starters got a Christmas wave. They seem to be made of a washcloth fabric similar to snowman plushies (the texture looks like snow). With their scarves, plaid and sled, they are very original and represent the Christmas spirit. In addition, the paper tags are full pieces of arts. Very lovely :3

2013/08/24 12'' Whimsicott Substitute

About cm high
The beloved Substitute plush got an unexpected DX version. Some consider it like a Pokédoll, thus this would be the first DX Pokédoll since DP era. Anyway, it is bigger and more squishy, and the fabric seems thinner than the regular version.

Facing the popularity of Whimsicott Substitute plush which had quickly sold out, the Pokémon Center happily decided to make a re-release.
I ordered one in case it would be different from the first version, but it wasn't. However they have some factory differences which make them unique. And when Junichi Masuda came in Paris for the launch of X & Y, I chose it to be signed. So it is even more unique now :)

This plush is really special because it's not a Pokémon but the protector duplicate from the video games move: Substitute.
The Pokémon Center had definitely not thought how popular this plush would be. Indeed, it was sold out in a few days. But it was actually the beginning of a long story...

Dunsparce is a typical example of underrated Pokémon which has almost no merch :'(
So, even if it's rather small, this plush is a very nice gift. Especially because the mechanism of vibrating fits perfectly to Dunsparce which is a snake with a "rattle" at the end of its tail.
